Orienteering: A Great Outdoor Scandi Adventure for All

Join the Scandinavian Club for a fun outdoor orienteering event on Saturday, May 30 at Great Seal of Ohio State Park in Chillicothe.

Orienteering is a beginner-friendly outdoor activity where participants use a map to find checkpoints throughout the park. It’s part nature walk, part puzzle, and part adventure — perfect for anyone who enjoys being outside and trying something new.

Event Details

Location: Great Seal of Ohio State Park. 4908 Marietta Rd. (Rt. 235), Chillicothe, OH 45601. Park Office: 740-887-4818.

Time: Course check-in begins at 11 a.m and goes to 1 p.m.

Registration: Please RSVP on the Scandi Club website so we know how many people to expect.

What to Expect

Look for event signage near the park entrance or registration area. Volunteers will be available to help beginners get started.

Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and be prepared for trail conditions. Traditional paper punch cards will be available.
