    Join fellow Scandinavian Club members for the preview opening of “Starman: Sixty Years of Exploring Glass Art,” featuring Swedish glass artist Bertil Vallien.


    The exhibition runs September 3–October 31, 2026. The preview opening is Thursday, September 3, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Hawk Galleries, 153 E. Main St., Columbus, Ohio 43215.

    At 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 17, Scandi Kaffe will be at Fitzy's Old Fashioned Diner at 1487 Shrock Road (just west of intersection with Karl Road).  Take Shrock Road east from Worthington or Karl Road north from E. Dublin-Granville Rd.  It is in a strip about halfway between Karl and Ambleside Dr.

    The diner was founded in the 1970s.  Owner Scott Dahlen is a career chef who chased his ownership dream in 2022. He says it is great food made the old fashioned way.

    Embrace the changing seasons at our annual Höstfest! This cherished autumn celebration brings together our Scandinavian community for a morning of joy, tradition, and camaraderie.

    What's in Store:

    • Fun games for all ages
    • Delicious Scandinavian breakfast spread
    • Catching up with old friends and making new ones

    Annual Club Meeting:

    As part of our festivities, we'll hold a brief but important club meeting. Your voice matters as we:

    • Review our club's achievements and finances
    • Plan exciting events for the coming year
    • Vote in new board members

    Free entry! We kindly ask for advance registration to ensure everyone's well-fed. Donations are warmly welcomed at the door.

    Bring a Taste of Scandinavia:

    Share your culinary skills! Bring a breakfast item, preferably with a Nordic twist:

    • Fresh bread or crisp knäckebröd
    • An array of Scandinavian cheeses (Jarlsberg, anyone?)
    • Colorful veggie toppings for open-faced sandwiches
    • Seasonal fruits or homemade jams
