Come celebrate Norwegian Constitution Day with us! We'll be meeting at the IKEA on Polaris (1900 Ikea Way) on Saturday, May 16th from 10:30am to 12:30pm in the southeast corner of the restaurant. Setup starts at 10:00 AM. Volunteers are welcome.

There will be lots of friendly conversation, a fun parade with the Norwegian flag with kids and Norwegian Bunads and all who want to parade, an invitation to bring and share a single Norwegian or Scandinavian treasure (smaller than a breadbox) with Scandinavian friends and new colleagues. At 11:30 LUNCH will be available for purchase at the IKEA restaurant. Beverages, including coffee, and reasonable Scandinavian-style lunch (NOT breakfast) would be attractive to many. We hope we get the chance to celebrate with you!

Eurovision Song Contest Finals Watch Party (16 May 2026)

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon as we watch the Eurovision Song Contest Finals live from Vienna! Whether you're a die-hard fan or just curious, come celebrate with fellow Eurovision lovers and cheer on your favorite Nordic contenders.

Highlights:

Watch the delayed live broadcast — the program starts around 2:00 PM, with performances beginning at approximately 3:00 PM. And it runs approximately 4 hours, stay as long or as little as you'd like!

Cash bar available. Please bring a snack to share.

Suggested donation: $10/person to help cover the cost of the venue.

Children are welcome, but some performances may contain mature content—parents should use discretion when bringing children.

Hosted in collaboration with the Columbus Scandinavian Club, Germania Society, and the Columbus Maennerchor.

May's SkandiKaffe will be held on Thursday, May 21, 10 AM, at the La Chatelaine French Bakery and Bistro at 1550 W Lane Avenue in Upper Arlington 43221. We’d love to share coffee & brunch with you!

Will you be joining us? Hope to see you there on Thursday, May 21!

I expect we will be seated in a room that can hold 25 people, but if the weather is nice, we might opt to eat on the patio.

NOTE: The breakfast and lunch menu at La Chatelaine is French. So, it differs some from the usual eggs and bacon that most local diners offer, and the selections from the bakery are hard to beat.

Celebrate the magic of midsummer with the Scandinavian Club of Columbus at our annual Midsommar Festival on the shore of Alum Creek.

Join us for an evening of Scandinavian food, music, games, community, and tradition. We’ll decorate the maypole, enjoy a traditional herring table and buffet, browse the Scandi-Shop, and gather for Midsommar dancing and games.

Bring your family, friends, and plenty of midsummer cheer as we celebrate age-old traditions, strengthen community ties, and welcome the summer season together.
